How Do I Know They Won't Get Damaged Again
- After we fix the gutter it will be in tip top shape again. This does not mean that they won’t get damaged again. We do offer multiple solutions that will give you the peace of mind that your gutter won’t need a repair in a while. To combat needing a gutter repair we offer solutions like gutter cleaning, gutter guards, a bigger gutter, bigger downspouts and regular gutter maintenance.
- First and foremost one of the main cause is them not being clean. When gutters aren’t cleaned at least 1 – 2 times per year debris clogs it and water cannot flow properly. All the weight of the water builds up in the gutter and it falls because the gutter hangers were not built to handle so much weight.
- You maybe wondering, well then gutter guards should fix this issue right? Well yes, but their is a catch. As good as gutter guards seem they aren’t perfect, in fact a lot of debris manages to get past your first line of defense for your gutters. Small debris can fit through the little slits and depending on the gutter guards debris can actually cover up the little slits and water will then just flow over the edge. So even if you opt to use gutter guards you will still need a gutter cleaning once a year, but it will be cheaper.
- Another option we highly recommend is getting bigger sized gutters and downspouts. Most homes use 5″ gutters when they should really be using 6″ gutters. Some roofs are so steep and big that so much water comes rushing down 5″ gutters can’t handle them. Not only will this save you a lot of trouble since the gutter is bigger the debris has more space to spread out in and will get clogged less often. Upgrading your gutter size comes with many other benefits like an increased life span and a greater peace of mind that you will need to worry less about your gutters.
